Meet our groomer and pet stylist Amy
Amy is a City and Guilds, Level 3 Qualified Dog Groomer with over 5 years experience in the industry.
She has a genuine passion for animal care and has experience working with a wide range of breeds, coat types, and temperaments.
Owning two large dogs herself, one being an anxious rescue, she understands the importance of patience, trust, and tailoring each groom to the individual pet.
Outside of work, she enjoys finding new places to go hiking with her dogs and family, as well as camping, music festivals and cooking.

Introductory Puppy Grooms
From below 6 months of age
A gentle and fun way to introduce your little one to the world of grooming. These sessions will build confidence, creating positive experiences, and making sure your pup feels safe and happy.

- A low and slow blow-dry to help them get used to new sounds and sensations

Full Grooms
From 6 months of age

Hand Stripping
Great to maintain the natural texture, colour, and condition of certain wire-coated breeds. Instead of clipping the coat, loose dead hair is gently removed by hand or with specialist tools, allowing the new coat to grow through properly.
This treatment helps preserve the coat’s natural weather-resistant qualities and keeps your dog looking true to their breed type.

At what age should I first bring my puppy to be groomed?
Once your puppy has completed their full course of vaccinations, around 12 weeks old, they’ll be ready to visit us for an Introductory Puppy Groom. These sessions are designed to gently introduce your puppy to the grooming process in a calm and positive way, helping them build confidence and feel comfortable. An Intro Puppy Groom combines light grooming with sensory learning, creating a foundation for stress-free grooming experiences in the future.
How often should my dog be groomed?
The frequency of grooming will vary depending on your dog’s breed, coat type, lifestyle, and the length or style you prefer. In most cases, we recommend scheduling regular grooming every 4-8 weeks. As we get to know you and your dog better, we’ll be able to provide tailored advice to ensure their coat remains healthy and well-maintained.
My dog doesn't like being groomed, what can I do?
We begin with short, calm, and gentle grooming sessions, focusing on creating a positive and stress-free experience. By using plenty of positive reinforcement and building trust with the groomer, we gradually increase your dog’s comfort and confidence with each subsequent visit.
Is sedation ever necessary for grooming?
Sedation is only ever considered in exceptional circumstances, where a dog is experiencing extreme anxiety or displaying significant aggression that raises genuine welfare concerns. It is important to note that sedation is never administered by a groomer, it would only be recommended when absolutely necessary and carried out under the supervision of one of our trusted veterinary staff members.
